Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information we handle when you visit our website and when we use our TikTok and YouTube integrations to publish our own content.
1. Who we are
Learn Chinese with Abdul ("we", "us") is an educational brand run by Abdul Azeem that teaches Chinese to Urdu-speaking learners through videos, lesson cards and tools published at learnchinesewithabdul.com and on social media. We use a social media scheduling tool to publish our own lesson content to our own accounts, including our TikTok account and our YouTube channel.
2. How our integrations work
Our scheduling app connects to the Learn Chinese with Abdul TikTok account (using TikTok's Login Kit and Content Posting API) and to our YouTube channel (using YouTube API Services). It is used only by the account owner to upload and publish our own lesson videos and posts to our own accounts. It is not offered to the public, and we do not post on behalf of other users.
3. Information we access
When the account owner connects an account and approves the permissions, we receive:
- TikTok basic profile information (user.info.basic): the account display name and profile picture, used to show which account is connected.
- TikTok posting permissions (video.upload and video.publish): used to send our own videos and captions to TikTok and publish them.
- YouTube channel access (youtube.upload, youtube.readonly and youtube.force-ssl): permission to upload videos to our own channel and set their details (title, description, tags, category, visibility, audience setting and whether subscribers are notified); to list our own playlists and add an uploaded video to one of them; and, optionally, to post a comment from our channel on a video we have just published. We also read basic channel information (channel name, ID, handle, profile picture and subscriber count) to show which channel is connected, and view statistics (views, likes and number of comments) of the videos we published, for our own reports. We do not read the content of comments, and we do not reply to, moderate or delete comments.
- Access tokens issued by TikTok and Google, which let the app act within those permissions only.
We do not access private messages, contacts, other users' personal data, or any other person's content or channel.
4. How we use information
We use the information above only to connect our own accounts, schedule and publish our own content, and show the status of those posts (scheduled, published or failed). We do not use it for advertising, profiling, or any unrelated purpose.
5. Sharing and selling
We do not sell, rent or share TikTok or YouTube account information or access tokens with third parties. Information is shared only with TikTok and Google as needed to publish our content, and with service providers who host our systems, under the same restrictions.
6. YouTube API Services and Google
Our app uses YouTube API Services. By using our YouTube features you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Our use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
You can revoke our app's access to your Google account at any time in your Google security settings.
7. Storage, security, retention and deletion
Access tokens are stored securely and used only by our scheduling system. Tokens are refreshed automatically as TikTok and Google require. We keep a token only while the account remains connected. When an account is disconnected, its token and connection data are removed. We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect tokens against unauthorised access.
You can revoke our access at any time in TikTok under Settings and privacy → Security and permissions → Manage app permissions, or in your Google security settings (link above). To ask us to delete any data we hold, email us at the address below.
8. Visitors to this website
This website may use standard server logs and cookies to operate, keep the site secure, and understand general traffic. We do not sell visitor data. Our free Chinese-to-Urdu pronunciation tool processes the text you enter to show results.
9. Advertising and cookies
If advertising is enabled, we may use Google AdSense to display ads. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, personalise and measure advertising in accordance with the Google advertising policies. Where required, visitors will be offered consent choices before personalised advertising cookies are used. 10. Children
Our services are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
